I love to own something with a story behind it. London-based brand Vassilisa derives its name from the legend of a Russian folklore heroine as well as Russian aesthetics, myths, art and aristocratic traditions.

The brainchild behind Vassilisa is Central St Martins Graduate Nadja Solovieva trained with sartorial visionaries such as Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen before taking the brave step to set up her own label.

Vassilisa scarves have unique swirly prints and are created in a long lengths. This makes them great for layering with a jacket, over bare shoulders or on your head for some super-summer festival cool. Using luxurious natural silks and yarns each print is limited-edition and produced in the UK.

I am also tempted by her dresses. Beautifully constructed yet very simple.

Vassilisa Swingy Floaty Style!

Sultry Summer Gorgeousness!

I have a mental image of myself, Vassilisa clad in a meadow with dreamy prints stretching to be fully visible in the gentle breeze.

The online shop will open soon. Keep an eye on the brands Facebook page to know when!

I do not think of myself as a super girly girl, but I am falling in love with anything that has a smudged cut flowers print on it. With the long winter I feel I have been deprived of beautiful earthy floral colours. Yesterday I made up for this by ridding my closets of anything black, brown or dark grey.

Stella McCartney has a beautiful range of floral wonders for this summer. I love this gorgeous printed satin one shoulder ruffle dress.

It almost looks as fragrant as a meadow of flowers and perfect for summer cocktails. Net-A-Porter launch their ‘Say it with Flowers’ Magazine online tomorrow. I will be looking out for a ‘wear with everything’ wrap jacket. Of the many colours variety of course!

A cheeky streak of sun on the tail end of the Easter holidays has prompted the imminent peeling off of winter layers and the reawakening of the flip-flop. Take haste though, as from experience we know that this could be a summer teaser. It could all end in tears when the heavens open up and rain on our sartorial parade!

In preparation for summer, when it decides to arrive. I can tell you that I want and heart this super cool yet intricately chic Annix Embroidered Crop jacket by Marlene Birger £238. It is a staple that can simply be worn with anything at any time of the day!

The super cool Danish designer has just opened her first UK flagship store at 28 Marylebone High Street. This could prove very dangerous for me.

I admit I have developed a mild obsession for lace-up shoes in jazz, Oxford and brogue styles. After years of tottering around on vertiginous high heels, I have found a new outlet for my shoe-passion in lace-ups.

Lushiously Louboutin Fred Shoes £385

What a joy it is to finally move through the crowds on London sidewalks at New York walking pace, stylish and speedy at once. So, in typical Fuella fashion, I am toying with the creation of a collection to take me through the next months.

Repetto ZiZi Jazz Shoes £155

I drooled over the bronze metallic Louboutin’s I spotted in the window at Browns.

Glitterful Flat Freds by Louboutin $595

I lusted after the equally fabulous Louboutin sequined jazz shoes I saw in somebody’s set on polyvore.

Labour of Love, patent red £75

I am seduced by the idea of buying a pair of jazz shoes in every colour of the rainbow by Labour of Love. Of course, the dancer in me adores Repetto’s jazz shoes that look and feel like the real thing.

I am fuelling the economy, one step at a time!!
